French Creek Organic Farm
This fifth-generation family farm owned by Andy
Leppert has been farmed organically since the late ’70s when Andy’s father
realized the benefits of organic farming to the soil and the environment. They
stayed committed to these practices even though there was no organic
certification at the time. In 1994 they became a member of Organic Valley in
LaFarge Wisconsin and received their first organic certification and have been
organic certified ever since. In 2013 they transitioned away from organic dairy
to diversify their field crops. When hemp was approved for growing in Iowa in 2020
it was only natural for them to add hemp to their farm.
